Boodles and William Goldberg: A Championship Match Set in London
The Boodles was back this year, and dare we say, better than ever.
Saul Goldberg and his wife Dale were invited to the prestigious tennis exhibition and lifestyle event by the Wainwright family, owners of Boodles, a British luxury jeweler and the exclusive ASHOKA® retailer in the U.K.
The Goldberg and Wainwright families became close friends and strategic partners more than 25 years ago, bonding over their family-owned businesses and love of exceptional diamonds; and of course, ASHOKA® diamonds.
Boodles has won over their U.K. clientele with their stunning collection of ASHOKA® jewelry for 18 years — they’ve become one of the largest ASHOKA® diamond jewelry purveyors in the world.
Saul and Dale Goldberg were honored to attend the tournament with the Wainwrights.
Celebrating The Boodles 19th Anniversary in Stoke Park
Stoke Park hosts the annual five-day Boodles Challenge in Buckinghamshire a week prior to the Wimbledon championship. Unlike any other event on the tennis calendar, the Boodles is where players warm up for Wimbledon, taking advantage of Stoke Park’s immaculate grass courts.
Stoke Park is England’s oldest and longest-running country club. It was purchased by the Ambani family, who refurbished this magnificent 300-acre property and reopened it in 2023. Featuring lush greens and a beautiful mansion, it’s a picturesque setting for the unforgettable English garden party of the season.
Under a tented pavilion, 1,900 guests enjoyed multi-course lunches, bubbling champagne, and afternoon tea while browsing and trying on world-class fine jewelry from Boodles. Between mingling and shopping, patrons sat in the stadium surrounded by manicured gardens and high trees to watch matches between some of the best tennis players in the world.
World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas, World No. 7 Andrey Rublev, Sebastian Korda, and Borna Coric were some of the tennis stars who attended. Guests and players also rubbed shoulders with the likes of Lady Penny Lancaster Stewart, Kirsty Gallagher, and Jay Blades.
During the event, Nita M. Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, presented the Inaugural Reliance Foundation ESA Cup to the winner, tennis player Diego Schwartzman.
Hosting a Lavish Night to Remember
The Ambani family, who are longtime friends of the Wainwright family, hosted a beautiful black-tie event on the grounds of Stoke Park.
The intimate event included 50 very special VIP clients of Boodles, and the whole Ambani family was there at their home to enjoy tennis and jewelry. There could not have been a more perfect evening with champagne, fine food, and the best part — breathtaking jewelry.
It’s no secret that the Wainwright family is known for their legendary events. In addition to The Boodles, they host the Boodles May Festival and Boodles Boxing Ball, inviting guests into their world of sophistication, glamour, and philanthropy.
